Hi! We’re Scott & Carlos. We live in Verona, NJ, with our three young sons and our Catahoula Leopard Dog, Rex. As local business owners and parents, we were craving a better way to buy everyday essentials—without relying on mega-corporations or settling for harmful ingredients.
Like many families, we found ourselves defaulting to Amazon, Walmart, DoorDash, and UberEats just to keep life moving. Having groceries and essentials delivered in 48 hours was undeniably convenient, but every time we clicked "purchase," it felt like a disconnect from our own community. We wanted a convenient way to shop that supported local business instead of private equity and corporate greed.
The Turning Point
Coming from the corporate world—Scott in wholesale & retail jewelry and Carlos leading user experience design at Johnson & Johnson—we turned a critical eye toward the products in our own home. Reading the labels on our baby shampoo and dish soap was an eye-opener: long lists of unpronounceable chemical ingredients and misleading claims. One foaming dish soap even boasted "see back of bottle for a list of organic ingredients," only for the fine print on the back to read: "There are no organic ingredients in this product."
Crafting a Clean Solution
That was the spark. Scott went on a mission, to make our own foaming hand soaps and bath soaps,using clean, organic ingredients and essential oils our boys loved.
