What makes Wright Provisions' real soap products different from commercial soap products?
Wright Provisions' bar soaps, foaming, bath and shower, laundry, dishes, and all purpose cleaners are made using traditional cold process soap making methods with thoughtfully selected oils and ingredients. Unlike many commercial products that use synthetic detergents and harsh chemical agents, our real soap products are designed to gently and effectively cleanse while helping maintain your skin’s natural balance.
Is your soap real soap or a synthetic detergent bar?
Our bars are true soap made through saponification which is the traditional process that transforms oils into soap. Many products sold as “soap” today are actually synthetic detergent bars made with manufactured surfactants. Our soaps are made with real soap chemistry and simple, recognizable ingredients.
What is cold process soap?
Cold process soap is a traditional soapmaking method where oils and lye are combined to create real soap through saponification. The soap is then cured for several weeks to months, creating a harder, longer-lasting bar that naturally retains glycerin.
What are the benefits of cold process soap?
Cold process soap naturally retains glycerin, creates a rich lather, cleans effectively, and avoids many harsh synthetic detergents. It is often chosen by people looking for natural bar soap, handmade soap, and a gentler alternative to commercial body wash or detergent bars.
Is natural bar soap better for sensitive skin
Many people with sensitive skin prefer natural bar soap because it often contains fewer harsh detergents, fewer unnecessary additives, and nourishing oils and butters. Everyone’s skin is different, so always check the ingredient list for personal sensitivities.
Does your soap contain sulfates like SLS?
No. Our bar soaps do not contain harsh sulfates such as Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, commonly known as SLS. We do not rely on synthetic foaming agents to create lather.
Does natural soap kill germs?
Soap works by lifting dirt, oils, and impurities from the skin so they can be rinsed away with water. Proper handwashing with soap and water is highly effective for everyday hygiene and removing unwanted germs.
Are your bar soaps environmentally friendly?
Traditional bar soap is biodegradable and often uses less packaging than liquid body washes. Our bar soaps are a simple, low-waste option for customers looking for more environmentally conscious personal care products.
How long does a bar of soap last?
Bar life depends on use and storage. To make your soap last longer, keep it on a draining soap dish and allow it to dry between uses. Avoid leaving it in standing water.
